Defending Freedom. Building Families.

As we celebrate Independence Day, I’m reminded that freedom is about more than the liberties we enjoy—it’s also about the opportunity to build the life and family we’ve dreamed of.

Every day, America’s service members volunteer to defend our nation’s freedom. Yet for many military families called to adoption, the cost of adopting and the unique challenges of military life can place that dream just out of reach.

That’s why we founded Freedom Families Foundation.

Our mission is simple: help ensure that no qualified military family is prevented from adopting because of financial barriers.

Freedom isn’t preserved by a single act—it’s built through countless acts of service, commitment, and sacrifice. In many ways, building this foundation has felt the same. Every introduction, every conversation, and every supporter who believes in this mission has helped lay another brick toward a future where military families have greater opportunities to grow through adoption.

We still have a long road ahead, but we believe meaningful change begins with a single step—and then another. Together, we can help ensure that military families who feel called to adopt aren’t forced to put that dream aside because of financial barriers.

This Independence Day, thank you to every man and woman who has worn our nation’s uniform, and to the spouses, children, and loved ones who have sacrificed alongside them. As President Reagan said in 1967, “Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction.”

We’re committed to helping more military families experience another kind of freedom—the joy of welcoming a child into a forever home.

Happy Independence Day, and God bless America.

Helping those who serve build forever homes.
